Christmas 2022

This Christmas, working with our network of schools and social workers, we identified some of the most needy households.

We then worked closely with these families to ascertain what the children wished for Christmas.

This work was extremely humbling and at times heartbreaking.

The difficulties these families face are enormous, but what they wished for Christmas was essentially simple and undemanding.

For example, one family asked if they could just have a trip to the zoo.

Most kids wished for inexpensive toys and clothes.

With the support of Bright Foundation’s sponsors, friends and well wishers we were able to virtually fulfil every request.

It fills our hearts with joy that we played our little part in making Christmas a bit more magical for some kids and families in our community and it motivates us to do more. Seeing the excitement on the faces of the children is a sight to behold.

This work would not have been possible without our incredible volunteers who helped organise and wrap all the gifts.

And special thanks to the amazing customers of Columbus Glen Eden for contributing so many gifts.
